Not all measurement methods or measuring instruments are suitable for the measurement of compressed air flow, and appropriate measurement methods and flow meters should be selected according to the characteristics of compressed air, measurement requirements, and different use conditions.

The main body of the vortex flowmeter is non streamline vortex generator. When the medium flows through the triangular cylinder at a certain speed, an alternating vortex belt is generated behind both sides of the triangular cylinder, which is called the "Karman vortex". Because the vortex is generated alternately on both sides of the vortex generator, pressure pulses are generated on both sides of the generator, so that the detection body generates alternating stress. Under the action of alternating stress, the piezoelectric element encapsulated in the detection probe generates an alternating charge signal with the same frequency as the vortex, It is amplified by the pre-amplifier and sent to the intelligent flow calculator for intelligent processing to realize the display and flow of the instantaneous flow and cumulative flow of the fluid.
