INTRODUCTION
An ultrasonic flow meter is a device that uses ultrasonic waves to measure the velocity of a fluid flowing through a pipe. It is commonly used to measure the flow of water in pipelines, and is particularly useful for measuring flow in large pipes or in situations where it is not practical to insert a traditional mechanical flow meter. Ultrasonic flow meters work by sending ultrasonic waves through the fluid in the pipe and measuring the time it takes for the waves to travel through the fluid. By measuring the velocity of the fluid, the flow rate of the water can be calculated.
As the above said, ultrasonic flow meters are instruments that measure flow by detecting the action of fluid flow on an ultrasonic beam (or ultrasonic pulse).
According to the principle of signal detection ultrasonic flowmeter can be divided into propagation velocity difference method, beam shift method, Doppler method, mutual correlation method, spatial filtering method and noise method. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the best choice for a particular application will depend on the specific needs of the user.
Ultrasonic flowmeter and electromagnetic flowmeter, as the instrument flow channel is not set up any obstruction parts, are no obstruction flowmeter, is suitable for solving the flow measurement of difficult problems of a class of flowmeter, especially in the large diameter flow measurement has more outstanding advantages, it is one of the rapid development of a class of flowmeter.
PARAMETER
Performance specifications
•OCT Pulse output: 0-5000Hz.
•Transmitter: 14 °F to 122 °F ( –10℃ ~ 50℃ );
•Transmitter: PC/ABS, IP65.
PRINCILPE
The flow meter utilizes two transducers that function as both ultrasonic transmitters and receivers. The flow meter operates by alternately transmitting and receiving a frequency modulated burst of sound energy between the two transducers and measuring the transit time that it takes for sound to travel between the two transducers. The difference in the transit time measured is directly and exactly related to the velocity of the liquid in the pipe.
ADVANTAGE
• Real-time measurement
• Various piping material available: Carbon steel pipe, stainless steel pipe, PVC pipe
• Wide measuring range: DN25~DN1200
• Wide voltage power supply: 10-36V
• RS485 Communication intelligent remote
